Cape Town – Fake news is but a lamb compared to the beast that is deepfakes - a technique for human image synthesis based on artificial intelligence.

Deepfakes, which is causing cross-continent tension with many arguing it represents a threat to modern democracy, recently made headlines thanks to an artist named Bill Posters.
