Ready for Global Citizen's Vax Live concert?

The globally televised special, which "aims to inspire vaccine confidence worldwide and help get the Covid-19 vaccines to everyone, everywhere", will feature stars like Selena Gomez, Nomzamo Mbatha, H.E.R., Chrissy Teigen, royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as well as US president Joe Biden. 

According to a press statement, the concert was pre-recorded at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The show is the first large-scale music event hosted for a Covid-compliant audience of fully-vaccinated frontline healthcare and essential workers. 

South Africans who want to tune into the concert, which will air on Saturday, 8 May, can do so via 1Magic (DStv 103) at 18:00 CAT or SABC's Channel S3 at 21:30 CAT. 

Sharing a clip of herself walking onto stage and then fist-bumping Prince Harry, Nomzamo noted that the Vax Live concert was "an incredible success that superseded all expectations".

"To the incredible chairs, hosts, performers and organisers, it's an honour to have shared that stage for GLOBAL GOOD!" the star, who was part of the line-up, shared.
