It goes without saying that the Spice Girls inspired a lot of people during their reign as the biggest girl group in the world, so it should come as no surprise then that even Beyoncé was a Spice Girls fan.
In an interview with Dear Media's Breaking Beauty podcast, Victoria Beckham (A.K.A Posh Spice) recalled first meeting Beyoncé years ago and the special message Bey shared with her.
Talking about how the Spice Girls had inspired a lot of young women, Victoria explained: "I met Beyoncé a few years ago, and she actually said to me, 'It was the Spice Girls that inspired me and made me want to do what I do and made me proud to be a girl, and proud to be who I am.'"
No doubt Victoria was flattered by the confession. She added: "And when someone like Beyoncé, who is so iconic and such a strong woman, says that she was inspired by the Spice Girls, I think that that's quite something."
Speaking about what the Spice Girls stood for, Victoria said they were all about embracing individuality. "I think it's about accepting who you are. And that's what the Spice Girls was always about. It's okay to be different; let's not try to change who we are, let's celebrate who we are, let's celebrate the fact that we're all different."
