Meet the new Rebel Princess.

Lesley Manville will play Princess Margaret in the fifth season of the Netflix drama, The Crown.

The role was previously filled by Vanessa Kirby in seasons one and two and Helen Bonham Carter in seasons three and four.

The news was announced via the official Twitter account of the show.

The 64-year-old said that she couldn't be happier to be playing Princess Margaret.

"The baton is being passed on from two formidable actresses, and I really don't want to let the side down. Furthermore, to play siblings with my dear friend Imelda Staunton will be nothing short of a complete joy."
