Cape Town – Benedict Cumberbatch got payback in the form of a slap, after accidentally bumping a cyclist with a Lamborghini.
According to The Sun, the Doctor Strange actor drove into 63-year-old Michael Lawrence, who was left with a bloody arm after falling to the ground.
A friend of the cyclist, affectionately known as 'Scooby', recalled the incident, saying: "Scooby was on his brand new bike when the car appeared out of nowhere. There was literally nowhere else in the road to go.
"He just put his arm over him and took the full force of the impact on his forearm, which smashed the wing mirror."
The friend added that Benedict narrowly escaped a punch in the face but was slapped before 'Scooby' realised the British actor was famous.
"Scooby dusted himself off and, full of adrenaline, reacted as he knows best — by slapping him. That posh actor was lucky he didn’t throw a punch."
According to the report, Benedict gave Michael his details and reported the incident to the police but a case was never opened.
