Hilary Swank has ended her engagement

Los Angeles - Hilary Swank has called off her engagement to Ruben Torres.

The Million Dollar Baby actress was spotted without her ring as she watched the 2016 French Open over the weekend and, after she also deleted her engagement announcement from her social media pages, her representatives have confirmed to People magazine that she is no longer planning to wed the former tennis player.

The 41-year-old actress - who was married to Chad Lowe for 10 years until 2007 - announced in March that she and the sportsman were planning to marry after just under a year of dating.

Sharing a picture of the pair on her Twitter account, she wrote: "Sooooooo this happened!!! #heputaringonit LOL #loveisintheair ... And then this happened.... #sealedwithakiss (sic)"

Meanwhile, the 41-year-old actress previously revealed she made a "vow" to spend more time with her loved ones.

She said: "I made a vow to myself a couple of years ago to spend more time with my family and my loved ones. None of us knows how long we have on this planet so it's important to never take a moment for granted."
