Cape Town – Lori Loughlin and her designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, could face a minimum of two years in prison because of the massive amount they paid in bribes to get their daughters into college.
According to TMZ, the couple are part of 37 individuals charged who have not yet accepted an offered plea deal in the college admissions cheating scandal.
The report further states that prosecutors will only accept pleas with prison time attached, although each deal has varying recommendations for prison sentences - largely determined by the amount they paid in bribes.
On Monday, actress Felicity Huffman agreed to plead guilty and released a statement apologising to her daughter, family and friends as well as to the "students who work hard every day to get into college, and to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices to support their children".
