Ne-Yo has revealed the one rumour he wishes would be put to bed for good – him being gay.
Participating on MadameNoire’s Spin & Spill the Tea game show, the singer delved into the issue and reiterated that as a married man and father of four, he’s never been gay.
“Taking nothing from homosexuality, love wins, love who you love – I’m just not gay,” he said.
“I ain’t never been gay, and when the whole gay rumor thing happened, that was one of the ones that kind of threw me a little bit. Anybody that knows me knows that nothing could be farther from the truth.”
In the segment, Ne-Yo also spoke on the backlash him and his wife, Crystal Smith, faced over their son’s hair. This came after she posted on Instagram asking for advice to help with Mason’s hair dryness, saying he wasn’t “blessed with mommy’s Hawaiian silky [hair]” in February this year. With Ne-Yo saying the post was misunderstood.
For now, however, Ne-Yo is getting ready for baby number four. According to People, he is nervous about Crystal having complications.
“I’m a little nervous just because [in] our first pregnancy, there were a few complications to the point where she had to get an emergency [caesarean] section,” he told the mag. “This time, she is determined to not go C-section – she wants to do it the natural way.”
