Cape Town – The egg that became famous for dethroning Kylie Jenner’s post as the most-liked on Instagram has hatched, revealing a supportive message.
The account world_record_egg was created and shared its first post on 4 January.
Alongside a photo of an egg with a white background was a caption reaching out to people to “set a world record get the most liked post on Instagram”. It has since received over 52 million likes.

Over time, random posts here and there have shown the egg in the exact same position only with a few cracks and now it has finally hatched.
The ‘Egg Gang’ partnered up with Hulu and delivered an important message about mental health on social media.
In a short animation, which premiered after the Super Bowl on Sunday, the egg reveals it has cracked due to the “pressure of social media”. The egg, brought to life by animated eyes and mouth, then shares Mental Health America’s helpline for those who may be feeling the same.
