Cape Town – Princess Eugenie is the first royal to have her own, personal Instagram account and now, her very own podcast.
As part of her initiative, The Anti-Slavery Collective, which she launched in 2017 with her best friend, Julia de Boinville, Her Royal Highness recently announced on Instagram they'd also be hosting a podcast to discuss growing modern slavery.
"This is a whole, much bigger, larger issue that's a hidden crime. It's forced labour, forced marriage, domestic servitude. It's people not being paid correctly. It's the 2006 21 Chinese cockle pickers that died in Morecombe Bay," Eugenie explain in a video explaining their mission to address the 40.3 million slaves in the world today – "the greatest number any point in history" according to Julia.
"We are developing a podcast with Freedom United, and we will have a speaker series called 'Tech Tackles Trafficking'," Eugenie shared.
"Now is the time to talk about this, this is on everyone's minds," she said. "And if it isn't, we will make it on their mind."
