Queen Elizabeth has made changes to her diary as the coronavirus continues to spread.

Her Majesty released a statement on Friday that read, "As a sensible precaution and for practical reasons in the current circumstances, changes are being made to the queen's diary commitments in the coming weeks.

"In consultation with the Medical Household and Government, Her Majesty's forthcoming visits to Cheshire and Camden will be rescheduled. Audiences will continue as usual. Other events will be reviewed on an ongoing basis in line with the appropriate advice."

Royal sources have confirmed that it really is simply "a sensible precaution" as the queen is in "good health". But Her Majesty isn't the only royal taking the severity of the situation into account.

Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, have also postponed their upcoming tour of Bosnia, Herzegovina, Cyprus and Jordan, while Harry and Meghan opted to leave Archie at home in Canada when they completed their last duties as senior members of the royal family in the UK.

For their very last engagement, which saw all the royals come together for the Commonwealth Day Service, everyone was instructed at the rather large gathering not to shake hands. Prince Charles clasped his hands together and bowed as he greeted guests, Prince Harry was seen bumping elbows with singer, Craig David.

As it stands, over 145 000 people have tested positive for the coronavirus, while over 5 000 have died. In the UK at present, 798 have the Covid-19 virus, while there are 24 verified cases in South Africa.
