Meghan gave birth to a baby boy on Monday morning at 05:26.

Both Prince Harry and Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland were present for the birth at their home, Frogmore Cottage.

Harry announced that he and Meghan will introduce their newborn son to the world in "two days," after they have had time to celebrate as a new family.

UPDATE: 06 May - 16:05 WATCH BELOW: HARRY ANNOUNCES THE BIRTH OF THEIR SON "Meghan and myself had a baby boy!" the Duke of Sussex announced. "It's been the most amazing experience I could have possibly imagined," he said, adding "how any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension".

Cape Town - It’s become a tradition for royal couples to introduce their newborn by posing for pics on the steps of the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in London.

But Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (37), will forgo that tradition.

Speaking in the podcast On Heir, British correspondent Emily Andrews and American commentator Omid Scobie claimed that Prince Harry (34) and his wife aren’t planning an "on-the-steps moment" after she’s given birth to their firstborn.

"At the moment we understand that she isn’t, she doesn’t want to do that, isn’t going to do that," Andrews said.

The Sussexes’ sister-in-law Kate, Duchess of Cambridge (37), delivered all three her children at the Lindo Wing and appeared on the steps with her husband, Prince William (36), and their baby each time – just like her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

But apparently Meghan won’t follow suit, Daily Mail reports.

Scobie suggested that doing so might go against Meghan’s feminist beliefs.

"Given what we know about Meghan, the optics of a totally glamorous, picture-perfect moment hours after giving birth aren’t quite in alignment with her views on the world."

It seems Meghan might even forgo giving birth at the hospital altogether.

Andrews said she’s been told the birth won’t happen at the Lindo Wing, but said Kensington Palace refused to confirm this.

It’s been suggested the couple might have selected a private hospital closer to their new home at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, according to Metro.

It’s also claimed the former actress will opt for a maternity unit near Frogmore to avoid the stress of the interest in her pregnancy.

The Duchess of Sussex is nervous about complications such as an emergency Caesarean and doesn’t want the pressure of "having to look immaculate on the hospital steps just hours later," a source told The Sun.

"She just wants a normal, natural birth and to bond with her baby, without being primped and blow-dried to within an inch of her life just for pictures," the source said.

Either way we’ll be sure to look out for the first official picture of baby Sussex on their new Instagram page.
