  • Armie Hammer has apologised after jokingly calling a woman wearing black lingerie on his bed in The Cayman Islands "Ms Cayman".
  • The video was leaked from the actor's private Instagram account.
  • "I am genuinely sorry for any confusion my foolish attempt at humour may have caused," he said in a statement.
  • The leaked video comes shortly after a Twitter user alleged the actor sent her disturbing texts which he has denied.

Armie Hammer has found himself in hot water yet again, this time after a video from his private Instagram account was leaked.

In the video, the actor walks through his hotel room and passes a bed where a woman wearing black lingerie is seen on all fours.

The video, shared by The Daily Mail, was captioned: "Well… my ex (for a very good reason) wife is refusing to come back to america with my children. So I have to go back to Cayman… which sucks. Except there are a few silver linings. Like fucking Ms Cayman again while I'm down there."

The actor, who recently split from Elizabeth Chambers and was staying in the Cayman Islands with his kids during quarantine, has since released a statement for incorrectly referring to the woman in the video as Miss Cayman, reports E! News, after the Miss Cayman Islands Universe Committee denied the woman was a member of their organisation.

He told the Cayman Islands newspaper, "I would like to clarify that the person in my video, which was stolen from my private Instagram, is not Miss Cayman. I am genuinely sorry for any confusion my foolish attempt at humour may have caused."

He said: "My deep sympathies to Miss Cayman, who I don't know, and to the entire organisation as I had no intentions of implying she was actually Miss Cayman."

The news comes after a Twitter user's claims that the actor sent her disturbing texts of a sexual and violent nature made headlines.

The DMs went viral, with the Call Me by Your Name star calling them "vicious and spurious online attacks".
