TV personality Thapelo Mokoena is taking his passion for wine from the cellar to cyberspace with a new YouTube channel exploring wine culture - with digital wine tastings, food pairings, reviews, events, and even wine myth-busting on the menu.
The Trackers actor introduced two new channels, Nero TV and The Artist Corner, where he takes viewers through his experience of becoming a winemaker as well as his journey as an actor and filmmaker.
Nero TV invites wine curious and connoisseurs to join in on conversations that not only educate but also introduce viewers to some of the best wines available in South Africa.
"The world of wine can come across as very daunting for most people. Working with the Bosman Family Vineyards to produce Nero grape has taught me so much about the industry as well as the process of winemaking, and this inspired the idea to create a platform that educates and shares some of the knowledge I have gained along the way," he tells Channel24.

In addition to this platform, Thapelo will also be introducing a new offering called The Artist Corner aimed at existing and aspiring actors. In the online series, Thapelo will be talking to you from his home studio, sharing his insights, as well as bringing industry experts to share their industry experiences.
"As an artist, you receive so many requests for shadowing and mentorship, but it is impossible to sit with everyone across the table and mentor them, so we have used the power of technology to democratize success in the entertainment industry by opening up this world so that artists can learn fundamental aspects of the acting and film-making from renowned industry heavy-weights they are inspired by and look up to," he tells Channel24.
Whether you're a wine enthusiast or a budding entertainer, you can now make a date with Thapelo. Be on the lookout new episodes (yes more than one!) every month.
