Reese Witherspoon to make a romantic comedy comeback

Reese Witherspoon is returning to her romantic comedy roots with two upcoming films on Netflix.

The films Your Place or Mine and The Cactus are both being produced by her production company, Hello Sunshine.

According to Deadline Your Place or Mine centres on "two long-distance friends who change each other's lives when the one decides to pursue a lifelong dream, and he volunteers to keep an eye on her teenage son."

The Cactus is an adaptation of the novel by Sarah Haywood which focuses on a woman who has to rethink her life when she falls pregnant at 45.

The 44-year-old was recently seen in television dramas The Morning Show, Little Fires Everywhere, and Big Little Lies.

Her most recent big-screen outing was Home Again in 2017.
