The times we are all living in are not normal. There's no use in pretending they are. If you're lucky enough to be in the position where you're working from home, like me, there's no end-of-the-week relief.

I can't go home on Friday and escape from the office to the comfort of a cold beer. Home is my office. And I can't leave.

The most I get away from my couch, where I work and spend most of my day, is when I go to bed or carefully take out the trash. So, without much normalcy in my, or any of our, lives, I turn to music.

And yes, of course, I don't always want to be listening to sadder tunes all the time, but more often than not I find myself looking for music where I feel like the singer is also "going through it" like I am.

Out of all these songs that I have in rotation, I put together five that help me get through the day. Hopefully, they might help you too.

HERE ARE 5 NEW AND RELEVANT SONGS TO HELP YOU GET THROUGH THE DAY:

1. Dopamine Rush – Mikhaela Faye

2. Take Yourself Home – Troye Sivan

3. Sugar – Brockhampton featuring Dua Lipa

4. Hello, Anxiety (STUTS Remix)

5. Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America - The 1975
