Local stars have joined forces with non-profit organisation Rape, Alcohol, Drugs and Abuse (RADA) to pay tribute to service industry workers in a new music video.

Through a song called, We Stand Together, artists like Ross Learmonth from Prime Circle, Lloyd Cele, Riana Nel, Kurt Darren, and Loyiso Bala sing about standing in solidarity with those in the frontlines, not only now during the coronavirus pandemic, but throughout the year as they perform their jobs.

"Take my hand, together let's move forward. Hold me now, I won't let go," the lyrics say, in part.

The song was originally part of RADA's second music compilation, RADA Inspire Vol.1, released in 2018 "to encourage the citizens of South Africa to inspire themselves and others through various initiatives," a press statement explains.

Reworking the visuals for the track, the singers came together to create a new video.

The music video shows all performers in studio, singing along to the song, and in between includes visuals of service delivery workers.
