Princess Diana’s niece, Lady Amelia Spencer, is engaged!

Amelia, who is the daughter of Charles Spencer, Princess Diana’s brother, and Victoria Aitken, said yes on 22 July, according to an Instagram post shared by her now fiancé, Greg Mallett. Mallett is the brother of Fiona Viotti, who was embroiled in the Bishops sex scandal last year.

"So this was the best day of my life," he wrote. "22nd of July 2020, I asked the love of my life to spend the rest of her life with me and she said YES. Couldn’t be happier and I love you with all my heart."

The 30-year-old shared four photos of the couple, with Amelia showing off her ring.

It appears he popped the question at Clouds Wine & Guest Estate in Stellenbosch.

According to Mirror, Prince William and Harry’s cousin, Amelia, has known her future husband for over a decade. The two met while both studying at The University of Cape Town.

Amelia grew up in South Africa along with her siblings, Lady Eliza Spencer, Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, Lady Kitty Spencer.

Lady Kitty Spencer also announced her engagement to South African-born business tycoon and the chairperson of Foschini Ltd, Michael Lewis, in January.
