Princess Kate and Prince William celebrated their 13-year anniversary on Monday.

The pair posted an unseen wedding photo on their social media to commemorate the day.

The black and white portrait, taken by Millie Pilkington, shows the pair standing close to each other in wedding clothes; it was simply captioned, "13 years ago today!".

Kate wore a white dress with lace overlay by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, while William wore a black military uniform.

Prince Harry wrote about the couple's wedding day in his memoir Spare, touching on William's attire.

"He'd asked Granny if he could wear his Household Calvary kit, and she'd turned him down. As the heir, he must wear the Number One Ceremonial, she decreed," Prince Harry wrote.

"Willy was glum at having so little say in what he wore to get married," the prince wrote.

Pilkington also posted the portrait on her Instagram page with the caption:

Wishing the [Prince and Princess of Wales] the very happiest wedding anniversary. Can't believe it is 13 years ago, almost to the hour, that I took this portrait. So excited and honoured that they should wish to share it.

Pilkington has taken many photos for the royals, including a recent portrait of King Charles and Queen Camilla.
