If you're in the mood to watch a show, but you only have a few minutes to spare, there's a new app just for that.
The American short-form mobile video platform Quibi launched in April, and it's available in South Africa.
Upon its launch, the service rolled out a great line up which includes shows by Chrissy Teigen to Jennifer Lopez to Liam Hemsworth.
Here are five things you need to know about Quibi.
1. WHAT IS QUIBI?
It's a subscription-based streaming service that has short-form scripted and unscripted content that you can watch on your cell phone.
2. WHERE CAN I GET IT?
The app is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, with a 14-day free trial.
3. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
A monthly subscription will cost R129.99.
4. WHAT CAN I WATCH?
There is a wide range of shows available from comedy, drama, reality shows, documentaries and news.
Founder Jeffrey Katzenberg told Vulture: "The variety and diversity of the programming that we're doing cuts across pretty much everything that you could imagine. We're trying things in a lot of different spaces."
There are three different categories:
Unscripted and docs
Which features shows like: Thanks a Million with Jennifer Lopez, Chrissy's Court, Cup of Joe, Nikki Fresh with Nicole Richie, a car show with Idris Elba titled Elba vs Block and cooking competition show Dishmantled, with Titus Burgess.
Movies in chapters
Which features shows such as Most Dangerous Game starring Liam Hemsworth and Christoph Waltz, Survive starring Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton), #FreeRayshawn starring Stephan James (Homecoming). According to Vulture, these run between two-and-a-half hours each, divided into 12 to 14 chapters. With a new one being released every two weeks.
Daily Essentials
This focuses on news, entertainment and lifestyle content such as Close Up by E! News, Fresh Daily by Rotten Tomatoes and No Filter by TMZ.
5. MORE SHOWS COMING
Quibi plans to roll out 7 000 pieces of content in its first year.
According to Entertainment Weekly upcoming content include: The Fugitive, a remake of the TV series and the Harrison Ford movie, an untitled Guillermo del Toro project, Wireless, a thriller produced by Steven Sodenbergh, Royalties, starring Darren Chris and an untitled Trevor Noah series, to name a few.
