Angelina Jolie and Michelle Pfeiffer battle it out in cinemas this weekend

Cape Town – Well, well. Angelina Jolie is back in cinemas as the horned fairy this weekend.

In the sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil a formidable queen causes a rift between Maleficent (Jolie) and Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning). Together, they must face new allies and enemies in a bid to protect the magical lands which they share.

Also showing: A post-post-apocalyptic drama in which a plague has wiped out the world's female population, and the retelling of a celebrated Afrikaans folk tale.
