Cape Town - Charlize Theron has injured herself while "fighting a very big guy".
During her appearance on talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the South African-born actress, who was seen wearing a brace on her left thumb, revealed she’d injured herself while filming her new movie, The Old Guard, Daily Mail reports.
"This is so stupid," Charlize explained.
"I did an action movie and I tore a ligament off the bone fighting a very big guy.
"[The brace is] like a fabric and then they mould it for hours around your [hand]."
But this isn’t the first injury the 44-year-old picked up during filming movies.
While shooting 2017’s Atomic Blonde, the actress cracked her teeth, Variety reports.
"It happened the first month of training. I had severe tooth pain, which I’d never had in my entire life," she said.
After visiting the dentist, Charlize was told she’d have to undergo surgery to repair the damage, People reports.
"It was tough. You want to be in your best fighting shape, and it’s hard," the actress added.
"I had the [tooth] removal and had to put a donor bone in there to heal until I came back, and then I had another surgery to put a metal screw in there."
