The teaser for Christopher Nolan's new movie can only be seen in cinemas - Here's what we know so far

Cape Town – Christopher Nolan is keeping everyone guessing about what his new movie, Tenet is about.

The teaser trailer for the director's much anticipated film is currently only showing in cinemas ahead of the Hobbs & Shaw movie.

Throughout the making of the film, Christopher has been very secretive about the project cast member Robert Pattinson said in an interview that he had to read the script in secret.

For those of us who haven't seen the teaser yet various publications have given brief rundowns of the clip.

It features lead actor David John Washington (Blackkklansman) in a room investigating a hole in a pane of glass. A title card with the tagline "It's time for a new protagonist' then comes up.

Little details are known about the film other than that it is an action epic evolving from the world on international espionage, reports Variety.

Other cast members include Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh, Clémence Poésy, Dimple Kapadia and Michael Caine.

The film is set to be released in July 2020.
