Downloads of Nickelback's 'Photograph' surge 569 percent after Trump's tweet

Cape Town - President Donald Trump tweeted a video that included a reference to Nickelback's 2005 song, Photograph, earlier this month.

The Canadian band then took issue with the American president's unauthorised use of its song, and it was taken down due to copyright, but it may have worked well for the once chart-toppers.

According to Billboard, citing data from Nielsen Music, downloads for the track surged up to 569%.

The song was first released in 2005 and peaked at number two the Billboard Hot 100 in October of that year.
