Earlier this month it was announced that British group, Lighthouse Family would be rescheduling their shows – slated for later this year in South Africa – due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The announcement followed the government's ordinance that no gatherings of more than 100 people could take place. This measure was soon followed bya nationwide 21 day lockdown which prevents residents of the country from leaving their homes except for essential reasons such as getting food or medical treatment.

The nationwide lockdown will be enforced from midnight on Thursday, 26 March. Effectively this means that most businesses and organisations - unless deemed necessary by government order - have to close.

As a result, event organisers, Big Concerts have moved the South African tour to next year. The new dates in Johannesburg are from Friday 26 March 2021 to Sunday 28 March 2021. The venue will be Teatro, Montecasino.

The new date in Cape Town is on Wednesday 31 March 2021 at Grand Arena, GrandWest.
