Prince Andrew needs to go to jail – these are the words of Virginia Roberts.
The woman who says she was once a sex slave of Jeffrey Epstein spoke out about the abuse, which she says the royal and other prominent figures were part of, in an explosive new interview set to air this weekend on 60 Minutes Australia, Daily Mail reports.
“Being a kid, I didn’t realise what world I was being brought into,” the now 35-year-old mother of three, who lives in Australia, reveals in her first in-depth TV interview.
Speaking of Epstein’s infamous New York mansion where she alleges she and other underage girls were kept and trafficked almost 20 years ago, she says it “represents jail to me”.
Epstein committed suicide while in jail in September. But Roberts – who alleges she was recruited at 15 by Epstein’s then girlfriend and “madame”, the stylish and well-connected Ghislaine Maxwell – wants the other men she claims were involved to pay for their crimes, including Prince Andrew.
“I was trafficked to other billionaires, I was trafficked to other politicians. It was the elite of the world. These men need to be named and shamed. What they’ve done is horrific. There was not a part of my body that they did not abuse.”
She’s claimed both publicly and in court documents that Epstein told her to have sex with Prince Andrew from when she was 17. She says Ghislaine arranged for her to see Andrew three times – in London, in New York and on his private Caribbean island, Little Saint James, Vanity Fair reports.
She vehemently denies allegations that a photo showing her with the prince and Maxwell at the socialite’s London flat is fake. “This is a real photo.
“Prince Andrew should go to jail. I mean, is he ever going to? Probably not.”
The prince has repeatedly denied the accusations and has called the photo fake, saying it’s not his arm and fingers around Roberts. “Oh the chubby fingers, I know,” she says.
In a court case in 2015 where her charges against the royal were raised, they were struck from the record for being “immaterial and impertinent”.
