Motions of no confidence in Johannesburg's former mayor, Mpho Phalatse, by the African Independent Congress (AIC), African Transformation Movement (ATM) and Al Jamah-ah, which was voted on Thursday, sent the parties making up the multiparty coalition into negotiations to strengthen their hand by bringing the PA back into the fold.
