As Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango heads towards the end of his playing career, it’s understood that the club has already been looking into a role he could play at Chloorkop once he hangs up his gloves.
It’s unclear at this stage when Onyango will call time on his playing career, but the 38-year-old’s current deal with the DStv Premiership champions is set to expire in June, with the possibility of a retirement announcement.
Whether or not he retires at the end of the season, the Siya crew has been informed that the club is looking into giving him a role, to use his expertise as a goalkeeper within the club, while there is also an opportunity to play as one of the ambassadors, where he would join the likes of Tiyani Mabunda, Teko Modise and Hlompho Kekana.
