From extra toes to foot fungus and wart clusters, there's a show on about people's unusual foot conditions, and it's addictive to watch.

If you're a fan of Dr. Pimple Popper, then you will be obsessed with TLC's My Feet Are Killing Me now airing on DStv, with earlier episodes available on Catch Up

The nine-part medical transformation series follows podiatrists and surgeons, Dr Ebonie Vincent and Dr Brad Schaeffer as they get their patients back on their feet - if you will.

Having blessed the world with gems such as 90 Day Fiance and 1000-lb Sisters, TLC has perfected "can't look away" programming and My Feet Are Killing Me is no different.

Each hour-long episode follows three patients - who after years, if not decades of neglect, turn to the doctors to fix their unusual foot conditions so they may reclaim their lives and confidence.

What I enjoy about the series is that each episode focuses on different patients, from consultation to surgery and follow-up, so you can start watching anywhere in the season.

While some patients visit the doctors for cosmetic procedures, others face grave ailments and are in severe pain because of their condition. It's heartbreaking to see how people are unable to live out their passion, or do a simple task because of the state of their feet. Walking or just standing is something we so easily take for granted.

Whether the doctors are treating a patient for puss-filled blisters or toe amputation, Dr Ebonie and Dr Brad treat every patient with compassion, making them feel understood and safe with their warm bedside manner.

I'm sure we can agree that the one thing we often feel insecure about is their feet, especially if we have to share our "crocodile feet" with the world!

From the first incision to implanting metal pins and cadaver bones in their patients' feet, viewers get a look inside the operating theatre, so be warned this part is not for the squeamish.

During post-operation follow-up, it is heartwarming to see how much the doctors have made a difference in their patients' lives, alleviating their pain, uplifting their spirits, and giving them more confidence.

Some of the season's stories include a romance novelist who hopes to get her unsightly sixth toe amputated, an athlete with two dramatically different sized feet, a nudist with severe fungus, and a toddler born with 12 toes.

If you're worried about your feet being a little too smelly, or a little too hairy, you won't look at your feet the same way ever again.

Watch My Feet Are Killing Me Saturdays at 21:00 on TLC. Season two is already in the works.
