Get ready royalists! This is when The Crown is coming back

Cape Town – Get ready royalists! Season 3 of The Crown, starring Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, arrives on 17 November.

Streaming giant Netflix announced the premiere date on Monday along with a short clip of the Oscar-winning actress as the British monarch. 

Oscar-winner Olivia is taking over the role from Claire Foy, who played the monarch in the first two series. 

Game of Thrones star Tobias Menzies will play her husband, Prince Philip, and Oscar nominee Helena Bonham Carter will play her sister, Princess Margaret.

The long-awaited third series comes nearly two years after the second season premiered.
