Cape Town – One of the most talked about scenes in the first episode of Game of Thrones is Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) riding the dragons.
This scene was important because although viewers know his true lineage, Jon riding the dragon affirms it - Targaryens are known for taming dragons and riding them.
Jon soaring around the North on Rhaegal was a scene straight out of How to Train Your Dragon (Kit voiced Erit in the animation).
Filming the scene required a lot of visual effects and the actors had to sit on an electronic buck (a mechanical bull).
In a new behind-the-scenes video, Game Revealed, Kit said that it wasn't smooth sailing during filming. While shooting the scene in which the dragon dips, his right testicle got trapped.
"I think what sums up the buck for me was there was a bit where Jon almost falls off. The dragon swings around really violently, like this, and my right ball got trapped, and I didn't have time to say 'Stop!' And I was being swung around."
He continues: "In my head, I thought, 'This is how it ends, on this buck, swinging me around by testicles', literally."
