Cape Town – Nick Jonas is joining the upcoming 18th season of The Voice US.
On Monday the Chains singer announced the news that will be joining the long-running NBC show alongside Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
In the video posted on Twitter, Blake, Kelly and John welcome him to the team and even propose an alliance of sorts.
The 27-year-old later posted a video on Twitter saying he is excited to be joining the coaches, and that he is hoping for a season 1 win.

In a statement Meredith Ahr, president of Alternative and Reality Group at NBC Entertainment said: "As a member of one of the hottest pop groups, Nick's success in navigating all aspects of the music industry is exceptional. We were so impressed by his innate musicality, technical aptitude and passion that he brought to Songland earlier this year and know he will be an incredible fit as a coach on The Voice," reports Deadline.
The 17th season with current coaches Blake, John, Kelly and Gwen Stefani recently premiered in the US.
