Cape Town – Another co-worker on the popular Afrikaans talks show, Maak 'n Las, died on Thursday, reports Netwerk24.
According to Netwerk24, Maak 'n Las producer Gert van der Walt shot himself in his home in Pretoria on Thursday.
The only details that have been revealed are that he and his wife Maryna were alone at home during the incident.
Van der Walt joins a list of Maak ‘n Las team members who have died in a tragic way. These members include Andries Krogman, Tolla van der Merwe, Koos Meyer, Worsie Visser, Pieter Pieterse and Pyp de Villiers.
Leon Beukes, a co-worker of Van Der Walt, told Netwerk24 that the show is not cursed even though many people believe there is a dark cloud hanging over it.
Beukes described Van der Walt as an outstanding person and will always remember him as a positive and energetic person.
