Cape Town – Queen Elizabeth often orders this dish when staying at Balmoral – and we’re pleasantly surprised.
Her Majesty visits her Balmoral home during the summer months and, according to a royal insider, the 93-year-old orders fish and chips at the local fisheries, reports The Sun.
"She very occasionally treats herself to fish and chips when at Balmoral," the insider revealed.
"A footman is dispatched to get it from the local town of Ballater."
But the queen isn’t the only royal who enjoys eating fast food, according to Hello Magazine.
Prince William reportedly loves Nando’s. The 37-year-old told the South African co-founder of the restaurant chain, Robert Brozin, that he’s a huge fan after being introduced to it by his police protection officer.
"This man [his protection officer], here, is your biggest fan. He’s introduced me to Nando’s. It’s very good. He should buy a stake in Nando’s," the prince reportedly told Robert.
"I'm not surprised he's eaten at Nando's," Robert went on to say.
"The beauty of Prince Harry and Prince William is that they're really accessible and they’re guys who go out a lot – I'm very happy that they've tried it.
"I was certain they would have tried it because they're people's people, which is so nice."
