Minnie Dlamini confirms being attacked with a bottle in a bar brawl

Johannesburg - Minnie Dlamini apparently had a bottle thrown at her during her 24th birthday party at Joburg's upper-class nightclub, Kong, in Rosebank.

According to Sunday World, the actress and TV presenter got into an altercation with another female in the early hours of the morning on Saturday.

Dlamini's management sent out the following statement confirming the incident: "Miss Dlamini confirms being struck by an empty bottle thrown at her by an assailant at Kong. At the time, Miss Dlamini was the guest of honour at the club, in celebration of her birthday.

"Miss Dlamini understands that the club and the SAPS, through diligent investigation, have been able to identify her attacker.

"She regrets this senseless and unprovoked attack.

"She cannot make any further comment as the matter is now in the capable hands of the SAPS and the National Prosecuting Authority."

Sunday World reported that the assailant also poured a glass of vodka and cranberry over Dlamini during the altercation.

Someone with the Twitter handle @Misa_Vuvulicious, who is said to be Minnie's aggressor, has been venting on Twitter confronting both Minnie and Sunday World, but she later removed the tweets.

She said to @MinnieDlamini, "I can't believe u took this to the papers when we both know the truth in all of this!" (sic)

"@Misa_Vuvulicious added, I wonder how you sleep at night?" (sic)

"@Misa_Vuvulicious tweeted the following to Sunday World: "@SundayWorldZA FYI- Minnie knows exactly why we fought!!!!" (sic)
