Johannesburg - A South African actress has been arrested for allegedly shoplifting from a major retail store at Cresta Shopping Mall in Johannesburg.
According to police the 32-year-old actress was arrested late on Wednesday afternoon after she allegedly stole a pack of headache tables from Shoprite Checkers.
Sergeant Obakeng Mabaso said as the actress was exiting the store, anti-theft sirens were sounded. The actress was arrested immediately by centre management.
"She is currently in police custody at Linden Police Station. A case of shoplifting has been open against her by Shoprite Checkers," said Mabaso.
The actress could not be named until she was formally charged.
