Cape Town - After just 15 months of marriage, singer Jill Scott and her husband, Mike Dobson, have called it quits according to TMZ.
Jill filed for divorce and cited “irreconcilable differences” and “inappropriate marital conduct that such further cohabitation would be unsafe and improper”.
Speaking exclusively to Bossip, Mike allegedly said his ex-wife was an “evil woman”.
“I’m telling you. It’s like what Jill Scott wants, Jill Scott gets,” he said.
“People are in her ear, and if someone comes in to challenge the dumb shit, they made me be the bad guy and that got me outta there.”
He added that “she’s had issues”.
“There are no men in that family, there are only women. And when a man comes in, it’s like a challenge.”
The Grammy award winner – who was married to Lyzel Williams from 2001 to 2007 and was engaged to Lil’ John Roberts who is also the father of her eight-year-old son, Jett – is yet to comment on the separation and her ex’s comments.
“She likes to emasculate men – that’s her problem,” Mike said. “I told her, she’s from Philly [Philadelphia], but I’m from New York, and if you want to try to disgrace me, try to slander me, I can fight dirty,” Mike told Bossip.
The divorce was filed on 15 September.
