Cape Town – Britney Spears has asked her fans to pray for her niece.
The 8-year-old daughter of Jamie Lynn Spears, 25, was critically injured in an ATV accident on Sunday.
Maddie was airlifted to hospital and is stable but is still in critical condition, E! News confirmed.
Britney took to Twitter and asked followers for “wishes and prayers” for her niece alongside a picture of the youngster.

Britney and Jamie Lynn’s mother, Lynn Spears took to Facebook with a similar message. She wrote, “Thank you for your prayers, please keep them coming. (sic)”

According to E! News Maddie was submerged underwater for several minutes after her ATV flipped over into a pond.
Jamie Lynn and Maddie’s stepfather Jamie Watson were on the scene but could not reach the 8-year-old as she was reportedly trapped in her seat belt.
Paramedics arrived within two minutes and rescued her.
