I will pay R6K to see Justin; his heart is pure

I read all the comments that were posted by News24 readers about the R6k meet & greet package.

The first thought that comes to mind is what a sad society we live in. People who don't even know him are quick to publish hurtful and insulting things about him. They don't even know him but refer to him as "she", "Gayber", "snot nosed prick" and many others.

Justin is an 18 year old kid, who is actually a pretty decent role model for young people. Yes just recently he was photographed holding a suspicious rolled item in his hand which may or may not have been marijuana. But he's a kid and he's growing up and making a few mistakes.

He is never seen stumbling out of clubs drunk; he is never involved in sex scandals or sex tapes; he doesn't allow alcohol to be available backstage at his shows and he asks for the alcohol to be removed from the minibar in his hotel rooms. So in today's world he is a pretty wholesome role model for young people.

But people who know nothing about him have to jump at any opportunity to bring him down. To the people who write hateful comments, I ask you the following:

1) Do you know that this past Saturday night Justin delayed the start of his show in the US because there was a 7yr old leukaemia sufferer who was too weak to go to his show, so instead he stopped by her hospital ward and sang to her in her ward?

2) Do you know he regularly visits children's hospitals around the world and gives gifts to the sick kids, many of whom have lost a reason to smile?

3) Do you know when he was growing up they were so poor his mother couldn't afford food for them to eat? So they queued at soup kitchens and food banks just to get something to eat. Do you know that now that he has the means, he donates money to these organisations so that they may continue to feed the poor and the hungry?

4) Do you know that a percentage of the proceeds from every show is donated to an organisation called Pencils of Promise that builds schools all over the world in disadvantaged communities? Do you know that Justin has funded tens of schools all over the world?

So to all you frustrated South Africans who sit at your boring underpaid jobs and have nothing better to do than to post hurtful comments on line, I think you need a serious wake up call and should look at yourselves in the mirror.

The very person you ridicule and tease is actually doing a lot of good in the world and making a difference. His heart is pure. Yours on the other hand is full of bitterness and hate, yet you think you have the right to belittle someone else. You are all just shameful bullies!

Do I think R6 000 for a full VIP package is expensive? No. Will I buy one? Of course.
