Cape Town – It’s been a big year for us here at Channel24 as far as music goes.
We had a chat with many international acts that hit our shores in 2017 as well as amazing conversations with some of our super-talented local artists.
From casual phoners with artists such as John Legend, Pixies and Texas, to sit-down chats with Laurika Rauch, Sketchy Bongo and The Lumineers – this is our favourite interviews for 2017:
1. The Lumineers
It was the second time for The Lumineers in SA this year, and we got to chat to drummer Jeremiah Fraites about their latest album, South African delicacies and touring the country. Read the full interview here.

5. Esjay Jones
While most South Africans will associate the name Esjay Jones with Durban- based band Stealing Love Jones, the name Esjay is now being mentioned among songwriting royalty in the US. We talked to her ahead of her tour with Alien Ant Farm in SA. Check it out here.
6. Flume
We interviewed Aussie DJ Flume earlier this year while in our PJs in the lead up to Rocking the Daisies. He told us all about being keen to try out the surf and experience his first ever safari. Check out our chat here.
7. Brian McKnight
