Porn Star auditions delayed

Johannesburg - The second round of auditions for controversial reality TV show Porn Star has been postponed after the producer suffered a heart attack, reports IOL.

The auditions were scheduled to take place this weekend (April 15 - 17) at the Lollipop Lounge strip club in Randburg, but have been postponed until producer Donovan van Wyngaard recovers.

Porn Star is a reality TV show in search of South Africa's next male and female porn stars and the second round of auditions involve contestants showing off their sexual skills in front of a judging panel.

'Size does count'

According to IOL, the show has come under severe criticism in the past few months, with church organisations and individuals expressing their "disgust" at the new reality show.

"Donovan suffered a heart attack brought on by the severe stress he has been under with regards to the controversy surrounding the competition," said Dr Devine, spokesperson and judge for Porn Star.

The other judges on the show include Lollipop Lounge owner Gigi, Arthur Calamaras (Adultworld Group, Sexpo), Joey Hensen (male porn star), Elzabe Kruger (female porn star) and Carike van Wyngaard (co-producer of Porn Star).

The judges are reportedly very excited according to Devine: "Previously we judged confidence, character and looks, but now we are judging performance."

"Size does count. Contestants will be judged on premature ejaculation, staying power, the ability to continue under stressful conditions, technique, special skills and, as in all working arenas, initiative and leadership skills," she added.

Sexpo

Porn Star has enlisted the help of Sexpo fans to choose the next male and female porn stars.

Sexpo visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite porn star as part of a competition where hopefuls will perform all kinds of sexual acts on stage.

Porn Stars will travel to Durban in August and to Johannesburg in September and the winners will receive R5000 each plus a role in a Hustler porn movie, which will be filmed at the end of the year.

There is also talk of the competition being aired on TV.
