Social media reacts to #CoffinAssault sentencing

Convicted criminals Theo Jackson and Willem Oosthuizen made headlines last year when a video showing the pair forcing a black man, Victor Mlotshwa, into a coffin and threatening to set it on fire went viral.

The two men were convicted on charges of attempted murder, intention to cause grievous bodily harm‚ intimidation and kidnapping in August. This morning Judge Segopotje Mphahlele sentenced Oosthuizen to 11 years imprisonment, while Jackson received 14 years.

People took to twitter to express how they feel about the outcome of the trial. Here’s what they said:
