Rappers Riky Rick and Cassper Nyovest have always been close and it’s this bond that gave us hits like Fuseg and Stay Shining.
The twosome has a strong brotherhood and they always have each other’s backs.
Now – just a day before Cassper’s biggest show yet, #FillUpFNBStadium, the Boss Zonke hitmaker took to Instagram to write the Tito Mboweni rapper a heartfelt message – and to be honest, we were reaching for the tissues.
“I used to pick Cassper up in my Corsa bakkie 6 years ago and dream about how we would get in the game,” he wrote in his Instagram post.
“Years later, after sacrifice and focus we stand together running in our own lanes but as brothers that wanted to see each other succeed.Never been so proud watching my brother @CassperNyovest prepare for the biggest day of his career.
“Our lives didn’t have to work out this way but they did because of GOD.”
In the pic accompanying the post, the 30-year-old is sitting and watching Cassper rehearse at the FNB Stadium – where the latter’s history-making concert will play out tomorrow night.
Their bromance hasn’t been without lows though. Cassper’s nemesis, AKA, mentioned that Riky asked him for a collab when AKA dropped his song Composure after his beef with Cassper escalated.
But what is a few hits with other artists between friends? These two are still as thick as thieves – and making good music together and apart.
