Cape Town – Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have become celebville’s latest ‘IT’ couple, but are they the real deal?
Something tells us no.
According to reports and pretty much the world’s instincts, Hiddleswift is one big publicity stunt that is going to end in a music art film… much like Beyoncé’s latest masterpiece, Lemonade.
We unpack Tom and Taylor’s whirlwind romance
While the A-listers are making their love story seem very real, there are just too many signs that hint their two week PDA-filled romance is totally fake.
Here’s what we know:
1. Going public
Taylor Swift went public with Tom Hiddleston only two weeks after she ended things with DJ Calvin Harris. Something out of the ordinary for Taylor as she is known to keep her high profile relationships under wraps.
Looking back now, rumours spread of Taylor and Calvin dating in February last year however they only went public with their relationship later in May at the Billboard Music Awards.
2. A new album
Taylor famously releases a new album every two years.
1989 was released in October 2014, Red was released two years before that in 2012, Speak Now was released two years before that in 2010, and you get where we are going with this, right?
A new album must be on the cards.
3. The new single?
She has also been known to drop a single off her new album a couple of months before the actual album is released. For example, Shake It Off was released in August 2014, a mere two months later 1989 was released.
Her love story with Tom could just be that single.
4. Publicity boost
If this theory is true, Taylor is said to drop her single around September, the reason being that it is the same time as the Emmys. Tom Hiddleston has been tipped for an Emmy nomination for his role in The Night Manager thus further publicising their egos.
5. Hired paparazzi
According to reports from E! News and Buzzfeed, Hiddleswift have been loosely followed around by the same paparazzi agency. From the East Coast of England to the ruins in Rome, the couple were followed and surprisingly not bothered by it at all.
This has us asking whether they were hired to document everything.
Another point to review is the fact that every single photo – from long walks on the beach to stealing kisses in Rome – looks way too put on to be real. Could every moment really be that perfect?

So tell us Taylor, are you about to drop your own version of Lemonade, or does love at first sight really exist?
