Johannesburg - Comedian Katt Williams has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a taxi driver following a heated argument according to TMZ reports.
It is alleged that the town driver was meant to transport the 47-year-old School Dance actor and his dog to Portland, Oregon airport for a performance at Nick Cannon’s Wild ‘n Out comedy show – when an argument transpired between the driver and Williams.
Katt Williams – real name Micah Williams – reportedly left the driver with cuts as well as swelling on his face. The comedian was then arrested the next day following the incident and charged with assault.
This is not the first time Williams has found himself on the wrong side of the law, in 2016 the comedian was sentenced to 36 months of probation after he allegedly assaulted a woman for ‘disrespecting’ him.
Although his bail for the reported assault has been set at $2 500 (R37 270,50) Williams was also arrested for an out-of-state warrant from Georgia, the arrest comes a month after Williams won his first Emmy for best guest actor role in Atlanta.
