Cape Town – Kehlani has welcomed a "healthy & perfect" baby girl, named Adeya.
The singer/songwriter announced the birth of her daughter in an Instagram post on Monday, alongside a photo of a baby blanket.
Revealing more about her birthing process in the caption, Kehlani wrote: "This weekend our angel arrived healthy and perfect in every way in our bathroom at home. Unmedicated home-birth was the absolute hardest yet most powerful thing I’ve ever done. Thankful beyond words. In love beyond comparison."

The 23-year-old later revealed she suffered from prenatal depression in a since-deleted Instagram post, E! News reports.
Responding to comments that she makes pregnancy look easy, Kehlani wrote: "2 days away from the 3rd trimester and this has been the hardest thing ever…hitting me like a bag of bricks, to being very isolated and alone internally and externally these days, to just the normal terrible sleep/no appetite/anxiety."
Adding to her anxiety was the backlash she received over her pregnancy because she's previously identified as queer and pansexual.
In an interview with Nylon she opened up about the criticism, saying: "I've gotten everything from 'I thought she was a lesbian' to 'she was using queerness to promote her career, then went and betrayed us with a man' to 'her baby father is just a sperm donor.'"
She added her defence, saying: "One, I never identified as a lesbian. I’ve always been pansexual…I never woke up and decided to be the “queer icon” of the century."
