Cape Town - After several failed relationships with basketball players, it seems Khloé Kardashian has finally realised she might need to stop dating them, Entertainment Tonight reports.

The reality TV star has hooked up with ball players in the past – ex-hubby Lamar Odom, James Harden and baby daddy Tristan Thompson – but none of them worked out, something talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel was quick to point out when the 34-year-old appeared on his late night show.

"I do want to ask about this character that you had a baby with," Jimmy said, referring to Tristan, who she broke up with after he kissed close family friend Jordyn Woods.

He then asked: "Is it time to stop dating basketball players?"

"I don't know. I like what I like. What can I say?" Koko responded, but this didn't satisfy the host, who probed further into her love life, asking if she even likes the sport.

"I actually do," she admitted before saying: "I don’t play basketball. I just like basketball. It's the whole thing of it all. But I do agree. I should listen to my MJ, my grandmother, and start dating like accountants or something like that."

Meanwhile, Tristan continues to deal with backlash from fans.

The Cleveland Cavaliers star has earned the nickname "Third Trimester Tristan" after cheating on both Khloé and his ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig while they were expecting his children. He shares a 2-year-old son with Jordan, while his daughter with Khloé, True, turns 1 on 12 April.

While attempting to make a free throw during a game against the Los Angeles Clippers, he was viciously booed by those in attendance and some began chanting "vKhloé! Khloé!" as he attempted his two shots.
