Cape Town – Dakota Johnson extended a figurative hand to all those who have experienced sexual assault in some way.
The Fifty Shades of Grey actress took to the stage at the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park, New York on Saturday and told the crowd her door, or in this case phone line, is officially open for anyone to call and share their story, E! News reported.
“I want to help you - women and girls around the world - tell your story,” Dakota said before taking her phone out and sharing her details.
“This is my phone number [212-653-8806]. I want you to call me and tell me your story in a voicemail. Or I want you to send me a message at dakota.johnson@globalcitizen.org and tell me what you've gone through as a women or girl in the world that’s been suffering.”
Dakota further explained that she has people who will help her translate if the messages are in a different language and advised that if she receives any kind of threat, she has people to take care of that, too.
