WATCH: Here’s why Dwayne Johnson won’t be running for office

Cape Town – For those of you who were super-excited and optimistic to hear that The Rock may run for president, you’re about to be disappointed.

ICYMI: In an interview with GQ magazine earlier this year The Rock admitted that a presidential run was a “real possibility,” and added what would be a top priority if he had to win.

The world was so convinced it was happening, a campaign committee even filed paperwork with the FEC on the Jumanji actor’s behalf.

Now, in an interview on The Graham Norton Show, The Rock has admitted that while it’s “very flattering” he will not be running for president and Kevin Hart is to blame.

“The problem is, this guy to my right [pointing to Kevin Hart] would completely sabotage the campaign.”

Agreeing with The Rock, Kevin adds that he would only sabotage it because running for president would make his co-star “that much better” than him.
