WATCH: Miley Cyrus reflects on relationship with Liam Hemsworth in decade video

Cape Town – Miley Cyrus has gone through the most over the past decade.

After the final episode of Hannah Montana aired in 2011, the then 18-year-old already moved onto the next phase in her life with her hit Can’t Be Tamed, followed by songs like Party in the USA and Who Owns My Heart. This, of course, was all before her We Can’t Stop, VMA performance with Robin Thicke phase, and was also around the same time she met Liam Hemsworth with whom she filmed The Last Song in 2010.

Her on-and-off relationship with the Hunger Games actor lasted a whole 10 years before the two split in August 2019. So of course, her "decade video" featured a lot of Liam – and included everything from his proposal to their split in 2013, their secret marriage in 2018 and the release of her single Slide Away after their divorce.

"10 Years in 10 minutes," she captioned the video with the hashtag, "#NewYearStartsNow."

After posting the video, the singer shared a video blowing out the candles of a cake with 2020 toppers on them, and in another post shared on New Year’s Day, she may have given fans a peek at the new Miley – perhaps, a new phase in her music career.

"New Year. New era," she wrote on the post in which she’s wearing bright red pants and boots. Her crop top reads "I am here" and she’s pulling her signature tongue-out pose.

"#HappyFuckingNewYear," she added.
